Phew. Where to start with these guys... the Atheys are by far one of our most beloved families of all time.
They flew out all the way from their southwestern home, just to have us photograph them during our short stay in Yosemite. Brian walked tenderly hand in hand with their son, and they spotted a deer grazing just feet away from them and stopped there to behold the sight together. Allyson held their daughter close to the warmth of her chest, soothing her when she needed comfort and basking in the small wonder of seeing her two favorite guys wrapped up in such a beautiful moment, in such a magnificent place. We spent our afternoon together walking through the meadows, beholding the breathtaking views in the valley, and we ended our time together up near Tunnel View... and it was altogether just so incredibly lovely.
During our most recent travel to the PNW, we had the beautiful opportunity to photograph these precious souls. Susanna and Lance were so full of joy and so easily able to connect with each other in such effortless manner, and their twin infant boys Elijah + Noah were of course incredibly adorable. Having never met each other before, they drove eight hours in one day to meet us... and we instantly connected with them. We spent the evening walking alongside mountain tops overlooking the gorge together, laughing alongside them and documenting the rich, simple magic held within their family. We left that evening holding a bit of sorrow within us, instantly wishing we lived nearer to them. So grateful for their sweet family, and for this passion we get to call our :job: and the for the way it allows us to connect with folks so deeply.
Take a moment to sit and peruse through one of our favorite sets of images to date. And, if you like what you see, and (especially) if you live somewhere in the PNW too, please know we would love nothing more than to capture you and your littles in the same honest, beautiful way.
